PLEASE NOTE: We are currently experiencing some difficulties with moving the chat servers to a new DNS. Please use these instructions instead of the normal ones below. These are temporary measures.

To use your own IRC client, configure the server to either (note, without the irc in front) or to – these two servers comprise our chat network. Then as usual, type /join #thevillage – you’ll be where you want to go.

We also have our own direct connection web client thanks to Matty. The link is and it’s a flash client, so you’ll want to enable flash if you haven’t already.

You alternately can use this link to chat using kiwi.

Leaving the below on this page for when the temporary measures are no longer needed:

If you have your own IRC client, configure it to the server (NOTE: that’s dot com, not dot net) with port 6667, then /join #thevillage and you’ll be chatting away with us in no time.

If you want to use Mibbit, check this page on MelloChat’s site for full instructions.

If you don’t have your own client, here’s a link to our traditional flash chatroom: Chatroom Entrance

MelloChat now has a non-flash option that’s like mIRC, but accessible by browser. When accessed by phone, it looks like an app. Use the gear icon (Settings) to change themes to something easier to read if needed. Click here to open it up. Remember, this is a MelloChat portal, so the channel opens up in #Mello. Should you get disconnected, manually refresh the page. To join The Village, type /join #thevillage
